Thank you, Continental Dairy!

The City of Coopersville is excited about a new business opportunity and investment in Coopersville thanks to Continental Dairy’s decision to build a new milk processing plant there.

A successful collaboration with the City of Coopersville, Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Ottawa County Economic Development Office, and the Governor’s Office has shown West Michigan to be the kind of investing environment that can inspire other Michigan communities by bringing a dormant manufacturing facility back to a productive life.

We are confident that Continental Dairy’s vision and commitment for operations in Coopersville will be fruitful and productive.

The City wants to thank the MEDC, OCEDO and the Governor’s Office for their hard work and diligence in this very significant economic investment in West Michigan and Coopersville. The City looks forward to working with Continental Dairy to insure a successful completion of this project and many years of profitable operation.

Siemens Water Technologies is the global leader in process water filtration. We would like to contact Continental Dairy, to assist with their water filtration requirements for the new Coopersville plant.

Please provide a project contact name and telephone number.

    Thank you

I was pleased to read your updates on this blog. This is wonderful news for Continental Dairy too I am certain. It’s very difficult to maneuver projects on a large scale such as this, for everyone. Literally millions upon millions of dollars of infrastructure, recurring revenues and costs need to be balanced with the overall economic development of the city as well as the West Michigan Area. I know you had a lot of major players on this project after reading your blog, and having to deal with the bankruptcy delays must’ve been a frustrating factor as well.
“Hat’s off” to all of that were involved! It’s an excellent testament to your collective ability to “get the job done” which no doubt reflects many hours of work.
    Nice job!

This project is exactly what Michigan needs ,all involved should feel very proud to be a major supporter of the community, and other counties could profit from learning how to turn a plant closure into a community plus, thanks
