Rules:
Your entry can be a float, decorated vehicle, costumed walking entry or anything creative that you can think of. Lights & music help make an entry stand out.
-Line up anytime between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Main Street – Facing East and lining up west of Eastmanville. If you wish to enter the float contest, you MUST be there by 6:00pm. Judging will begin at 5:30pm and ribbons will be handed out before the parade begins.
-Drive Cautiously and WATCH FOR CHILDREN!
-It is o.k. to hand out candy. IT IS NOT o.k. to throw it! Participants may WALK and HAND OUT candy – but we will NOT allow it to be thrown from your parade entry. PLAN ACCORDINGLY
-The parade will begin at 6:30pm and head East down Main Street toward East Street and enter the School Campus at the South Entrance by the Coopersville Community Service Building. Entries with sirens may use their sirens in the Downtown District.
-Maintain a slow and constant speed for the entire parade route.
-Please space your vehicle 2 car lengths between entries. It’s difficult, but please do so for the enjoyment of the crowds, there will be no announcers this year.
-All entries, except emergency vehicles, must remain on the parade route the entire route until they get to the school entrance. There you may enter the school parking lot or continue on East Street toward Randal. NO LEFT TURNS at East Street.
-Children riding on floats may get off in the school parking lots. Please make arrangements ahead of time with parents where you will meet them for child pickup.
YOU MAY NOT HAVE A SANTA ON YOUR ENTRY. THERE IS ONLY ONE SANTA IN THIS PARADE AND HE IS LOCATED IN THE VERY LAST ENTRY!
