Mission: The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) shall correct and prevent deterioration in the business districts, encourage historic preservation and the creation and implementation of development plans in the district, and promote economic growth in the DDA District.
The DDA is funded through TIF (Tax Increment Financing), a government financing program. It contributes to economic growth and development by dedicating a portion of the increase in the tax base to improvements within the development area.
The DDA Board is comprised of 9 stakeholders from within the community and the DDA Director / City Manager. Coopersville City Council approves the allocation percentage and coordinates projects with the DDA for the enhancement of the Coopersville Community.
DDA Board Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of the Month at 5:15pm and open to the public.

Beginning the Week of May 11th through June 30th, Plummer’s Environmental will begin the annual preventative maintenance cleaning of the City’s Sanitary lines. The sanitary sewer lines highlighted in green on the attached map are selected areas to be cleaned.
It is possible you may hear “gurgling” noises within your drains, and you may encounter brief disruptions. We encourage all affected users to keep the toilet lids closed and sump area drains covered during this preventative maintenance cleaning. Please contact City Hall at (616)-997-9731, if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you!
