Election Information

The Coopersville City Clerk’s office is responsible for conducting all elections within the city, This includes voting at the National, State, County, and City Levels and includes elections for local school districts, libraries and special elections. They are also responsible for Voter Registration and maintaining the list of registered voters. Absentee Ballots are also requested from the Clerk’s Office.

Consider Becoming a Precinct Inspector

Precinct inspectors are people who are paid to assist voter at the polls on election day. Registered Voters interested in service must submit an application to the City Clerk’s Office. You must include your Name, Address, Date of Birth, Political Party Preference and Qualifications. 

Qualifications inlude:

Must be 18 years of age

Registered Voter

Able to Serve from 6:30am – 9:00pm when all closing duties are complete

You cannot be a challenger, candidate, member of a candidates immediate family or member of the local Board of Canvassers.

Anyone convicted of a felony or an elections crime may not serve.
